The Applebaum Photography Fellowship at Darkroom Detroit is a 9-month mentorship and development program for emerging and established photographers in the Detroit area. Selected fellows receive individual and group mentorship while participating in monthly critiques, participate in a group exhibition, and have access to Darkroom Detroit membership, workshops and classes, and facilities.

Applications for the second year of fellows will open on April 1 on Darkroom Detroit’s website!

This exhibition is the culmination of the fellows’ work over 9 months and will showcase never-before-seen works exemplifying a diverse range of emerging contemporary voices in the field of photography.

The fellowship program and exhibition are generously sponsored by the Applebaum Family Compass Fund. Additional thanks go to Whitdel Arts and Signal Return.
